This graceful one-of-a-kind STACKED Floor Lamp is made of a mix of salvaged Mahogany and other tropical hardwoods.

The hand carved tri-point base is perfectly weighted to support the elongated S-curve neck, which droops down slightly into it’s bell-shaped wooden shade and Tala’s Voronoi I led lighbulb. The interior of the shade features the faceted contours which highlight Richard’s STACKED process, while the remaining surfaces have all been hand-sculpted smooth.

The mixture of salvaged Mahogany and other tropical hardwoods capture a warm almost iridescent quality.

This organic wooden sculpture is suspended from a 12inch dia black canopy plate, by 1/16” black aircraft cable, along with a black cotton covered cord, and is fully adjustable within the provided length of cable (it is advised the customer uses a licensed electrician). Designed for use with Tala’s Porcelain III + Porcelain I LED Lightbulbs, this sculpture’s five matte glass finished bulbs provides a warm ambient light. Whether the sculpture is turned on, or off, this one-of-a-kind STACKED piece commands attention in any room.

This pair of identical twin STACKED Tabletop Lamps are made of salvaged Ash with an ebonized finish.

The hand carved base is reminiscent of the automobiles from the 1950’s era, while the elongated neck is more organic before terminating with a 5”dia wooden shade and Tala’s Sphere II led lighbulb. The interior of the shade features a pearlescent finish overtop of the faceted contours that highlight Richard’s STACKED process, while the remaining surfaces have all been hand-sculpted smooth.

This imposing one-of-a-kind STACKED Floor Lamp is made of salvaged Walnut. Initially conceived years ago after seeing images of the deep sea anglerfish, which evolved a elongated bioluminescent feature that grows from above it’s head to attract sustenance. But, this lamp was fully realized and sketched following days of observing the drooping heads and curved stems of flowers following rain storms. Their shared sculptural curves coupled with the ambient lighting element form a perfect pair.

Sitting grandly in any room, the cloven-shaped base is perfectly weighted to support the gently curving neck which climbs to a height of just over 7’, before it droops down slightly into it’s bell-shaped shade. The interior of the shade features the faceted contours which highlight Richard’s STACKED process, while the remaining surfaces have all been hand-sculpted smooth.

The salvaged Walnut perfectly captures the range of colors found within this particular wood species, including a wide range of mid to dark brown heartwood, contrasted with a peppering of the pale sand-like tones found within walnut’s sapwood.

The large asymmetric sculpture is composed of three individual components. The elongated neck slides easily into the base, with the cotton covered cord slipping just underneath. The shade mounts to the end of the neck with simple bolts, and is crowned with Tala’s Voronoi II LED lightbulb.

As with all of Richard’s work, the entirety of this piece was built, sculpted, and finished entirely by his hands.

.This pair of STACKED Post Floor Lamps was created from thousands of tiny pieces of wood, approximately 5000 pieces in each one. The simple forms possess a slightly playful nature, perfectly imperfect.

Made from salvaged Walnut, the cylindrical form was created in Richard’s signature STACKED style. Think coil pottery…or 3D printing, but analog. Piece by individual piece, layer upon layer, he additively sculpted the form, controlling both the wall thickness while at the same time defining the overall profile. Once constructed, Richard reductively shaped the exterior using a variety of hand held tools, resulting in a honed quality with subtle undulations similar to that of hand built ceramics.

These organic wooden sculptures are capped with Tala’s Porcelain III LED Lightbulbs (5"dia), providing a warm ambient light. Whether the chandelier is turned on, or off, this one-of-a-kind STACKED piece commands attention in any room.

As with all of Richard’s STACKED work, the entirety of this piece was built, sculpted, and finished entirely by his hands. Each lamp will be unique.

The STACKED Saucer-shaped illuminated sculpture (shown here in salvaged Cherry, salvaged Walnut, and salvaged Bleached Maple) is created by hand, piece by piece, layer upon layer, carefully controlling for both the wall thickness as well as the overall profile. Once complete, the exterior surface is gently sculpted smooth using a variety of hand held tools; in contrast, the interior is flash gilded with gold or silver mica powder, adding a reflective quality as well as highlighting the faceted contours.

The finished sculpture is suspended from the canopy plate using 1/16" black aircraft cable and is fully adjustable within the provided length of cable. The cotton covered cord hosts a standard ceramic E26 base. Designed for use with an oversized lightbulb.

While the salvaged wood offers one-of-a-kind patterns reminiscent of basketry or mosaic tile work, the overall shape, scale, and material choice of Richard’s STACKED Illuminated Sculptures are all customizable upon request.

With a shape reminiscent of an Ostrich Egg, this small-sized sculptures was created and finished entirely by hand. STACKED piece by piece, layer upon layer, carefully controlling for both the wall thickness as well as the overall profile. Once complete, the exterior surfaces were gently sculpted smooth using a variety of hand held tools; while the interiors have been flash gilded with a gold mica powder, adding a reflective quality and highlighting the faceted contours.

The finished Ostrich Illuminated Sculpture is suspended from the canopy plate using cotton covered cord and hosts a standard phenolic E12 candelabra base. For use with LED lightbulbs.

The overall shape, quantity, scale, and material choices of Richard’s STACKED Sculptures are customizable upon request.

This scaled down version of Richard’s original STACKED Floor Lamp is also made of salvaged Walnut. Created to fit within a specific space, “Short No.1” stands firmly at 6’, but otherwise quite similar to the original floor lamp.

The salvaged Walnut perfectly captures the range of colors found within this particular wood species, including a wide range of mid to dark brown heartwood, contrasted with a peppering of the pale sand-like tones found within walnut’s sapwood.
